I enjoyed reading this article because it was on something we're doing. It makes me feel like a pioneer on this new style of learning and witting. I think that Dr. Sterling has a point when he said that abbreviations like GR8 don't really bother him, its something he just points out in papers. i don't know how they may eventually become standard like he says though, that would be kinda weird to have a 40% abbreviated paper. And he does make a point when he says writers (those using facebook,myspace, and texting) just need to realize who there audience is and write accordingly. I would abbreviate for my friends but not for a paper i'm turning in.
